{"id":127,"date":"2018-08-29T21:47:28","date_gmt":"2018-08-29T21:47:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/?p=127"},"modified":"2018-08-29T21:48:11","modified_gmt":"2018-08-29T21:48:11","slug":"belly-pork-in-the-pressure-cooker","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/belly-pork-in-the-pressure-cooker\/","title":{"rendered":"Belly Pork in the Pressure Cooker"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well I finally used the multi-cooker as a pressure cooker.<\/p>\n<p>On out last trip up to El Gouna we dropped into the butchers there and I picked up a nice joint of belly pork.<\/p>\n<p>This is what I decided to do with it.<\/p>\n<p>I must say it came out beautifully moist and tasted fantastic.\u00a0 Served on a bed of noodles with stir -fry vegetables is perfect.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-128\" src=\"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/bellypork.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"932\" height=\"525\" srcset=\"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/bellypork.png 932w, http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/bellypork-300x169.png 300w, http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/bellypork-768x433.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 932px) 100vw, 932px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>INGREDIENTS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>900g belly pork joint<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp five-spice powder<\/li>\n<li>400ml water<\/li>\n<li>5 cloves garlic<\/li>\n<li>1 medium cinnamon stick<\/li>\n<li>1 star anise<\/li>\n<li>180ml light soy sauce<\/li>\n<li>2 tbs dark soy sauce<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup chinese rock sugar\/white sugar<\/li>\n<li>1\/4 tsp white pepper<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>METHOD<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Slice the pork skin from the belly pork and set aside<\/li>\n<li>Pat the pork belly dry with an absorbent paper towel. Rub the pork belly with five-spice powder and set aside for 30 minutes<\/li>\n<li>Sear the belly pork on all side in a cast-iron pan until golden brown<\/li>\n<li>Transfer pork belly into the pressure cooker.<\/li>\n<li>Add the water and other ingredients to the pressure cooker pot.<\/li>\n<li>Place the lid on, turn to seal and set pressure cooker menu option to meat for 25 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>When cooking has finished, leave the cooker for the pressure to drop naturally.<\/li>\n<li>Remove the joint from the cooker and place on a rack, set the juices aside.<\/li>\n<li>Fry the skin in a hit cast iron skillet on both sides until crisp, or place in a hot oven for 15 minutes.
