{"id":136,"date":"2020-01-23T14:02:08","date_gmt":"2020-01-23T14:02:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/?page_id=136"},"modified":"2020-01-23T14:02:08","modified_gmt":"2020-01-23T14:02:08","slug":"chicken-achari","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/chicken-achari\/","title":{"rendered":"Chicken Achari"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Achari Murgh<\/strong> : <strong>Serves : 3-4<\/strong><br><br><strong>Shopping List\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Chicken Achari Curry Kit from\u00a0<em>Corniche Curries<\/em><\/li><li>contains : BASE_2, ACHARI_1, ACHARI_2,\u00a0ACHARI_3,\u00a0CHAT_1<\/li><li>500g-800g Chicken (or Beef, Lamb, Prawns, Fish etc)<\/li><li>Peanut, Vegetable or Sunflower Oil<\/li><li>Ginger<\/li><li>Garlic<\/li><li>1 Medium Tomato<\/li><li>Tomato Puree<\/li><li>Green Chillies<\/li><li>Fresh Coriander<\/li><li>Yoghurt<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Suggested Accompaniments<\/strong><br>Rice, Roti or Naan Bread<br>Mango Chutney<br>Lime Pickle<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Base Curry Sauce #1<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3> <strong>Ingredients<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>1 tbs oil<\/li><li>\u00bd medium yellow onion, finely chopped<br>(100 gm prepared weight &#8211; red or white onion can also be used)<\/li><li>1 clove garlic, finely chopped<\/li><li>1 tsp ginger, finely chopped<\/li><li>2 tbs chopped tomatoes<\/li><li>2 heaped tsp tomato pur\u00e9e<\/li><li><strong style=\"color:blue;\">PACKET : BASE_2<\/strong><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>Preparation<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Finely chop the onion (should produce about 100 gm)<\/li><li>Finely chop the garlic and&nbsp;ginger.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Method<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Heat a wok or heavy pan and add oil.<\/li><li>Fry the onion for about 3 min until it becomes translucent.<\/li><li>Add the ginger and fry for 1 min.<\/li><li>Add the garlic and fry for 1 min.<\/li><li>Continue to fry until the ingredients turn slightly brown (Do not allow the ingredients to burn at any stage.)<\/li><li>Transfer the mixture to a mug and add the chopped tomatoes and water to \u00be fill the mug.<\/li><li>Blend this until very smooth.<\/li><li>Reheat the pan, add a little more oil if necessary, and stir fry the tomato pur\u00e9e for 2 min.<\/li><li>Add the contents of the packet <strong>BASE_1<\/strong>&nbsp;and fry for a few seconds.<\/li><li>Add the blended mixture to the pan with 200 ml of water.<\/li><li>Simmer for 5 min, stirring.<\/li><li>Stir in enough water to make the mixture up to 300 ml.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Notes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>If you are not using it immediately, the sauce should be allowed to cool and then transferred to a sealed container and stored in the fridge or freezer. Use within a few days if refrigerated.<\/li><li>The blending will need to be done either in a food processor or using a hand blender in the cooking pan.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong>Achari Chicken<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3> <strong>Ingredients<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>3 chicken breasts (500-800g) or preferred meat\/fish<\/li><li>300 ml <strong>Base Curry Sauce<\/strong> (above)<\/li><li>3 tbs oil<\/li><li><strong style=\"color:blue;\">PACKET : ACHARI_1<\/strong><\/li><li><strong style=\"color:blue;\">PACKET : ACHARI_2<\/strong><\/li><li>3 tsp green chilli, finely chopped<\/li><li><strong style=\"color:blue;\">PACKET : ACHARI_3<\/strong><\/li><li>6 tbs yogurt<\/li><li><strong style=\"color:blue;\">PACKET : CHAT_1<\/strong><\/li><li>Chopped Coriander to garnish<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Preparation &#8211;<\/strong> pre-cook the chicken or meat if using &#8211; not needed for fish<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Heat wok and add a little oil<\/li><li>Mix 3 tbs of Base Curry Sauce<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>sauce with 3 tbs of water<\/li><li>Cut the chicken into small cubes (The exact size is not important)<\/li><li>Add the diluted sauce and chicken &#8216;cubes&#8217; and mix together well<\/li><li>Fry over a medium heat, stirring continuously, for about 3 min or until the chicken is properly cooked through<\/li><li>The chicken will be cooked when the pieces can be easily split into smaller pieces and are white throughout<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Method<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Heat wok and add oil.<\/li><li>Add \u00bd of the Base Curry Sauce and the contents of the packet <strong style=\"color:blue;\">ACHARI_1<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>and fry on a medium heat for 3 min.<\/li><li>Add the contents of the packet <strong style=\"color:blue;\">ACHARI_2<\/strong><strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>and stir fry for a few seconds.<\/li><li>Add the rest of the Base Curry Sauce, chicken and green chili and simmer over a low heat for 5 min adding a little water as needed to prevent drying out.<\/li><li>Turn heat to very low and stir in the yoghurt and the contents of the packet&nbsp;<strong style=\"color:blue;\">ACHARI_3<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Simmer for 2-3 minutes before serving<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3><strong>Serving<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>Sprinkle the contents of the packet <strong style=\"color:blue;\">CHAT_1<\/strong> over the top.<\/li><li>Serve with rice, roti or naan bread<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Achari Murgh : Serves : 3-4 Shopping List\u00a0 Chicken Achari Curry Kit from\u00a0Corniche Curries contains : BASE_2, ACHARI_1, ACHARI_2,\u00a0ACHARI_3,\u00a0CHAT_1 500g-800g Chicken (or Beef, Lamb, Prawns, Fish etc) Peanut, Vegetable or Sunflower Oil Ginger Garlic 1 Medium Tomato Tomato Puree Green Chillies Fresh Coriander Yoghurt Suggested&nbsp;<a class=\"read-more\" href=\"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/chicken-achari\/\">&hellip;<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/136"}],"collection":[{"href":"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/comments?post=136"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/136\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":137,"href":"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/pages\/136\/revisions\/137"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"http:\/\/netyoda.co.uk\/food\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=136"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
